Mortal Kombat first reported on Variety and moved its release date by a week to April 23, 2021.
The delay allegedly has to do with the short time span between the release of Godzilla vs Kong and Mortal Kombat. It makes sense that Mortal Kombat’s delay would allow Godzilla vs Kong to spend more time at the box office before competing with the long-awaited adaptation of the video game.
