MSI Afterburner: Upload GPU speed and memory to your graphics card

It is documented that laptops cannot do much at the Hardware level to reinforce their performance. The reasons are obvious since there’s no ‘hand’.

A laptop should be characterized additionally to its good overall performance counting on the processor, memory, and graphics card, mainly stability.

However, there are some programs with which we can unlock our graphics card and enhance the performance of our laptop.

MSI Afterburner is a freeware that undertakes this difficult task. This is basically an overclocking application which will help us manipulate our laptop’s graphics card.

Which in particular enables us to change the voltage of the GPU, the memory on our graphics card, and the speed of the fans.

In general, the rationale is this: we get a little bit of the adjustment we want, we apply the changes, and if all goes well we try to get more credit. This, of course, does not mean that you have to exhaust all the margins and end it.

A slight change in the GPU core timing and graphics card memory, I think it’s enough to see the difference especially if your card is not that powerful ΄΄ I also recommend that if you are not an experienced user do not mind voltage settings and fans and only focus on changing the GPU frequency and memory.

After installing the appliance click on Settings, select the overall tab and within the Copatilbility Properties check all the boxes and press OK Restart the appliance as needed and once you enter Windows, run the application again and see if your graphics card unlocked, you will understand this if you see that you can change the frequency of the GPU Core Clock (MHZ) and the Memory Clock (MHZ).

Try increasing the kernel frequency slightly and press Apply. If all goes well, ditch the memory frequency and press Apply to save lots of the settings, repeating the method step by step, but take care to not overdo it.

A range between 50-100 MHz for the kernel and 50 MHz for the memory I feel is enough, though it depends largely on the graphics card you’ve got.

Another feature of the application profiles. You can save each set to a different profile and reset it by pressing the key you have set for each of them.

This way you can save, for example, the normal profile of your graphics card in the first profile, and in the next, you can create profiles with different operating frequencies and, if necessary, activate this particular one at a time.

You can, however, confirm the overclocking as well as see other parameters such as what you gained in speed with the TechPowerUp GPU-Z. After downloading the appliance and installing it on your computer run it without overclocking.

It should be noted, however, that such interference may also pose some risks to system stability, and of course, there may be a risk of graphics card being tampered with.
