Apple’s small professional notebook MacBook Pro gets a makeover: with more power and a new keyboard. Techboke has all the essential information.
Apple renovated its small MacBook Pro and gave the 13-inch model more powerful processors and a new keyboard.
Stylish, solid made quickly – Apple’s MacBook Pro series, despite high prices found many fans.
However, the previous models were not quite perfect, especially the keyboard caused frustration for some users of the 13-inch model.
That should now be the end, the 2020 version comes with a new keyboard and by the way with more power. Techboke will present a new professional notebook.
Apple MacBook Pro 13 inch (2020): Magic Keyboard
An important innovation: The MacBook Pro 13 inch takes over the Magic Keyboard with scissors mechanism, which Apple has already installed in the MacBook Air 2020 and in the larger sister model MacBook Pro 16 inch.
The keyboard has been convincing in the previous tests: with a good typing feel and less sensitivity to dirt – the main criticism of the old keyboard with a butterfly mechanism.

Apple MacBook Pro 13 inch (2020): More storage
For a long time, the built-in SSDs at Apple were really fast, but offered little storage space, especially for smaller models.
Here Apple replaces and doubles the storage space: The smallest model now comes with 256 gigabytes.
The two middle models come with 512 gigabytes and the top model of the 13-inch series with 1 terabyte. Up to 4 terabytes are possible for an additional charge.

The two larger models use new processors from Intel’s latest series (10th generation), which are not (yet) listed by Intel.
Not unusual for Apple, because the Californians have often been supplied by Intel with brand new processors, not yet listed, or special versions of existing models.
A four-core processor (Core i5) with a clock rate of 2.0 gigahertz is standard, onboard for a surcharge of 250 euros there is also a Core i7 processor with 2.3 gigahertz.
On top of that, there is twice as much RAM: 16 gigabytes as standard, 32 gigabytes for an additional charge (500 euros).
Apple MacBook Pro 13 inch (2020): Small stays small
The two smaller models don’t get new processors.
Here it remains with a Core i5 from the eighth generation with 1.4 gigahertz or (for 375 euros surcharge) a Core i7 with 1.7 gigahertz (both with four computing cores as in the larger 13-inch models).
The working memory also stays at 8 gigabytes as standard, 16 gigabytes cost 125 euros extra here.
Apple MacBook Pro 13 inch: price and availability
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 inch (2020) with a new processor can be ordered now and should be delivered from mid-May.
The smaller model is available from 2,129 euros, the larger from 2,379 euros.
The two smaller models with the slightly older processors (with improved equipment) continue to cost 1,499 and 1,740 euros.
