The National Bureau of Statistics in Nigeria NBS has released a report stating that there has been a reduction in youth unemployment by 4.1 percent in the first three months of this year. The previous unemployment rate was 33.1 percent in its last report at the end of 2022. The NBS before this time said that it will use modern technology to verify the true demographics of the employed and the unemployed across the country. During the launch of the new technical system in Abuja, NBS said its new figures will compete with those seen in European countries in terms of credibility.
